I cannot get Trillian OTR to work with my version of Trillian. What gives?

Trillian OTR is a third-party plugin to Trillian and, as such, is subjected to a few rules that Cerulean Studios put in place for their product. The first of which is that, in order to use a third party plugin, you must be running the 'Pro' version. The Basic version is just that, basic in all respects. It gives you a chance to use it and try out the application and, if that is all you need, then so be it. However, as the draw of Trillian is as much the wealth of plugins as the multi-medium support it has, they let that serve as the lure for people to purchase their product.

In addition to needing Trillian Pro, in order to do the things necessary, you must be running v3.0 or higher. It will not work with other versions below that.

I am having problems building the plugin from source. Can I get some help?
